UCDC is a competitive Limited Capacity (Impacted) program. Applications will be selected based on application materials after the deadline passes. Eligible students not selected may be placed on a waitlist.

For those students who are interested, the priority deadline offers some advantages over waiting until the final deadline to apply:
- By applying early, you increase your chances of securing a spot in the program before it reaches capacity.
- Applying early gives you more time to plan and prepare for your participation in the UCDC Program. You can align your academic and personal schedules accordingly and make the most out of this unique experience.
- By joining the UCDC Program early, you can start applying to internships with early deadlines, such as those at high-level government organizations.
