Independent Program deadlines are typically much later than any other deadlines in the UC system. If students decide they still want to study abroad/away but have missed all UC deadlines, Independent Programs (IP) could be a good option. It is important to note that students cannot take financial aid on IP at this time. Students must adhere to the IP deadlines listed on their websites.
However, students must also complete the IP registration in the Global Learning Portal before they go abroad. There is no deadline to complete the registration, however, there are several steps and students must register their program before they go abroad/away.
