Discover the transformative power of cross-cultural learning and gain invaluable experience collaborating with students around the world through the Global Classrooms. These unique UC Santa Cruz courses offer accessible and immersive experiences for students to expand their perspectives.

What students are saying about Global Classrooms

Global Classrooms create an inclusive environment that introduces students to unique information through human interaction. In my Global Health Problems and Political-Ecology Responses course, it was interesting to see how the Indian perspective, ideas about societal norms and viewpoints, was different from the Western perspective.”
This course, through our collaboration with students in India, really reminded me that our communities, though we have differences in culture or language, are not really all that different from each other. We’re all just people trying to live a good life and give our local community, the people that we love, a good life as well. That kind of unifying force made the whole experience worth it for me.”
