How to Apply (Faculty-Led Global Seminars)


  1. Complete your Profile in the Global Learning Portal
  2. Check deadlines and capacity to confirm that your program is still open or if a waitlist is being taken
  3. Check the eligibility requirements and prerequisites for your program which are listed on your program page.
  4. Submit the application in the Global Learning Portal as close as possible to the opening date, and before the deadline.
  5. Applications are processed on a rolling basis.
  1. Navigate to the Global Learning Portal
  2. Click on Non-UCSC student “Sign Up” link (NOT the blue “Go to Portal” button).
  3. On the Dashboard, select “Explore Programs.”
  4. In the “Search Programs” field, type “Non-UCSC Student.”
  5. Click “Learn More” on your program of interest.
  6. Select “Term Information.”
  7. Click “Apply Now” on the (Non-UCSC Students) Summer Qtr 2025 option.

There is a $200 Non-Refundable Global Learning Application Fee charged through your MyUCSC account after March 14.


  • A passport valid for at least six months after the program’s end date. If you do not have a passport at the time of application please email globallearning@ucsc.edu.
    • Please note: If you plan to apply for this program but do not have a valid passport, apply immediately. Passport processing times are longer than usual.
  • Signed Financial Terms and Conditions (built within the application)
  • Any program specific documents for specific program will be indicated on the program page.
