How to Apply (Partner Programs)

Important: Read all of the steps below before beginning this process.

  1. Create an account in the Global Learning Portal.
  2. Confirm that you meet all of the Eligibility Requirements for the program by checking the Eligibility section of your program’s webpage.
  3. Confirm deadlines and capacity. Check to see if your program has limited capacity to confirm that your program is still open before submitting the Partner Program application.
  4. Submit the Partner Program application for your program in the Global Learning Portal by the deadline. This includes:
    • Submit an initial mini-application titled “UCSC Partner Program Application.”
    • Once you submit the mini-application, the following forms will become available. Your application is not complete until all of the forms are submitted:
      1. Bio/Demo Info (UCSC)
      2. Partners | 1a. Eligibility and Academic Planning
        • You are required to include a link to your completed Global Learning Approval Form (GLAF). Once your GLAF is signed by your advisors, you will include the link to the GLAF in the Eligibility and Academic Planning form.
      3. Partners | 1b. Program Finances
      4. Partners | 1c. Terms and Conditions
      5. Partners | 1d. Academic Policies

        • We require a copy of your passport that expires no sooner than 6 months after the end of your program. Due to passport processing delays, we cannot process your application without a copy of your valid passport. See Department of State for more information.
  1. Partner program applications are processed first come, first serve. As long as you meet the eligibility requirements, and the program is not full for limited capacity programs, you will be nominated to participate.
  2. If your application is accepted, you will receive instructions to apply directly to the Partner Program or host university at a later date.
